Past Simple — verhaaltjes

Last Saturday I (go) to town with my friend. We (take) the bus and (arrive) at ten. First we (buy) some clothes, then we (eat) lunch in a café. In the afternoon it (start) to rain, so we (go) home early.

Last summer we (travel) to Italy. The weather (be) lovely and the sun (shine) every day. We (swim) in the sea and (visit) an old castle. One evening we (eat) pizza and (drink) lemonade.

This morning I (lose) my phone. I (look) everywhere but (can) not find it. Then my sister (call) my number and we (hear) it under the sofa. I (be) so relieved!

Yesterday we (have) a test at school. The teacher (give) us thirty minutes. I (write) fast and (finish) in time. After the test we (go) outside and (play) football.
