Past Simple — verhaaltjes

Last summer we (travel) to Italy. The weather (be) lovely and the sun (shine) every day. We (swim) in the sea and (visit) an old castle. One evening we (eat) pizza and (drink) lemonade.

Yesterday our team (play) an important match. We (score) first, but the other team (be) very strong. In the end we (win) 3-2. Everybody (be) happy and we (celebrate) together.

It (be) my birthday last week. My parents (give) me a present and my friends (come) to my party. We (listen) to music and (dance) all evening. My mum (make) a big cake. I (have) a great day.

Yesterday we (have) a test at school. The teacher (give) us thirty minutes. I (write) fast and (finish) in time. After the test we (go) outside and (play) football.
